New to Y2 - preparing for end of key stage tests and teacher assessments

Event Summary This course is intended for Year 2 teachers who are new to administering or coordinating end of Key Stage 1 assessments. Some more experienced teachers may also feel that it is important to update their knowledge and understanding.
Event description
The course will cover everything a teacher new to year 2 will need to know about statutory assessment and moderation in year 2, including the statutory requirements, what can be used as evidence, moderation, administering the tests and unpicking standards in collections of work for reading, writing and maths. It is an interactive session and questions are encouraged.

How will the pupils benefit?
 
Children's learning will be accurately assessed and used to inform:
• effective planning for Y2 teaching
• end of KS1 Teacher Assessment
• dialogue with Y3 teachers
which should ensure a smooth transition for all pupils into KS2.
